Dekhasta Becton Rozier focuses on personal injury. She also has experience representing clients in a range of legal matters, including family law, civil rights, wills, and power of attorney documents. She understands the complexities of a variety of laws and enjoys client contact and assisting people in protecting their rights and receiving the full benefits of the law.

Dekhasta began her career at Legal Aid of North in the Raleigh office litigating domestic violence claims in 2002. She clerked for Judge Robert C. Hunter of the N.C. Court of Appeals and was on Wake County Court’s criminal court-appointed lists. She worked at NC Prisoner Legal Services, Inc. protecting constitutional and civil rights, and managing a team of attorneys and staff. Likewise, she worked at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, handling personal injury claims and supervising others.

In all of her roles, Dekhasta has enjoyed supervisory and management responsibilities. These experiences were highlighted when she was the Dean of the School of Continuing Education at Saint Augustine’s University.
